A huge concrete water tank will be constructed by Civilbuild at Dungog for Hunter Water.
The tank will have a diameter of 65 metres at the base with a height of 10 metres.
The base, which will require 600 cubic metres of concrete, will be done as one pour.
Civilbuild’s pre-cast yard will then supply 76 concrete wall panels ranging in weight from 18 to 38 tonnes.
Both the base and walls will be post tensioned. Work has started on building two moulds at the precast yard for the panels.
Well known construction company A J Lucas has sub contracted Civilbuild to construct the tank.
